Facility

The original Illinois Dance Academy studio was located at Route 59 and Caton Farm Road in Plainfield.

Front Desk

To accommodate a growing enrollment, IDA moved to its current location at 351 Airport Drive in Joliet, Illinois. Located conviently on west side of the Joliet Airport, there is plenty of parking and little traffic volume that make it an ideal setting for dropping off and picking up children. This expansion gave IDA the opportunity to provide more variety in its dance curriculum, offer students a more diverse and convenient schedule and a facility that can provide all of the modern features to enhance safety in the students dance training. Although the setting has changed, the IDA approach has not. IDA is still a studio that stresses proper technique in all disciplines of dance and presents it in a personalized and enjoyable manner for each student, regardless of ability or age.

Studio Classroom

The state of the art facility houses three studios, four bathrooms, a lobby and waiting area, studio offices, and costume rooms. The expansive dance studios are equipped with the most advanced technology in sound systems. All of the studios are built for the best sound quality and have hand built, specially designed, patented wood sprung floors. These floors are designed with the dancer in mind, and will prevent injuries that would normally occur when performing high impact movements on regular hard flooring. The best, most recently developed non-slip Marley flooring covers all of the generously sized dance floors.

facility

All studios have large one-way observation windows. This allows parents to monitor the dance class without distracting their student. In this manner parents may monitor their students' progress and development without creating any disturbances.
